The building in the center
(Unara) was the residence of the first mayor of Toowoomba, Sir Lesile
Groom built in 1903.
This area has been restored and is used as the common area.
The southern wing has been
refurbished to suite the needs of women clients, the northern wing for
male clients and the western wing for the kitchen and therapeutic needs.
